Engagement Overview

A Statement of Intent was signed between NITI Aayog and the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) on 24 April 2018. The broad mandate was to aid the technical support unit constituted within the WCD Division. Specific activities are to be decided from time to time based on mutual consultation and agreement.

Highlights/Achievements

IFPRI is involved in assisting the preparation of the POSHAN Abhiyaan Monitoring Report. Three reports have been prepared in close collaboration with IFPRI.

Conference: NITI Aayog hosted an event on 24 September 2019 on ‘Delivering for Nutrition in India: Insights from Implementation Research’. A group of key nutrition stakeholders reviewed findings from ongoing or recently completed implementation research studies in nutrition, especially on POSHAN Abhiyaan’s key pillars. The participants deliberated on ways of tapping into insights from implementation research to help strengthen the coverage, equity and quality of maternal and child nutrition interventions in India.
