Aspirational Districts Programme
Another flagship initiative of the Government of India, the Aspirational Districts Programme aims to expeditiously transform 112 of the most underdeveloped districts of the country. Using a three-pronged approach (or the 3 Cs) of promoting “Convergence, Collaboration and Competition”, the ADP is a synthesis of the two approaches towards development—provision of bare necessities and ample opportunities to the deprived. The “Champions of Change” digital platform provides the Aspirational Districts administration with self-service analytics tools that require zero-coding skills but enable rich graphing and data analysis straight from a web-browser environment.
Atal Innovation Mission
A flagship initiative by the Government of India, Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) aims to promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the country. It was set up in 2016 and is an attached office under NITI Aayog. AIM has taken a holistic approach towards ensuring the creation of a problem-solving and innovative mindset among schoolchildren and creating an ecosystem of entrepreneurship in universities, research institutions, private organisations and MSMEs. AIM’s initiatives are currently being monitored and managed systematically using real-time MIS systems and dynamic dashboards.
Development Monitoring and Evaluation Office
The Development Monitoring and Evaluation Office (DMEO) was constituted in September 2015 by merging the erstwhile Programme Evaluation Office (PEO) and the Independent Evaluation Office (IEO). It is an attached office under NITI Aayog. DMEO actively monitors and evaluates the implementation of Government programmes and initiatives so as to strengthen their implementation and scope of delivery on an ongoing basis. Additionally, DMEO undertakes the evaluation of selected programmes/schemes suo moto or on the request of the Prime Minister’s Office or programme-implementing Ministries/Departments of the Government of India.
India Energy Dashboard
The India Energy Dashboard aims to provide single-window access to energy data in the country. It provides interesting visualisations of data to get an intuitive understanding of the sector. It is a work in progress and hopefully an initial step towards building a comprehensive, open and freely accessible energy data portal for India.
India Energy Security Scenarios
India Energy Security Scenarios 2047 is a tool that aims to explore a range of potential future energy scenarios for India, for diverse energy demand and supply sectors, leading up to 2047. Twenty-one energy demand and supply sectors and 50 levers that will impact our energy system are available to the user. A combination of the above choices offers hundreds of energy pathways till the year 2047.
NGO Darpan is a platform that provides a space for interface between voluntary organisation/NGOs and key Government Ministries, Departments and bodies. The platform seeks to bring about a greater partnership between the government and the voluntary sector and foster better transparency, efficiency and accountability. NGO Darpan was started as an initiative by the Prime Minister’s Office to create and promote a healthy partnership between voluntary organisations/NGOs and the Government of India. Earlier maintained by the erstwhile Planning Commission, it is now managed by NITI Aayog.
The National Institute of Labour Economics Research and Development (NILERD) seeks to further research, education, training, and consultancy in all aspects of human capital planning, human resource development, and monitoring and evaluation. Over the years it has evolved as a centre of excellence in the field of labour and development and gained worldwide recognition.
Poshan Gyan is a trusted and comprehensive online resource for anybody working in the nutrition sector in India. It is a collection of effective communication materials created by Government agencies and other development organizations to tackle the challenges of knowledge awareness and behaviour change in the nutrition sector. The materials cover a range of topics, such as antenatal care, complementary feeding, adolescent health, diet diversity, anemia prevention etc. This repository is curated and maintained by NITI Aayog in joint efforts with other development partners.
Women Entrepreneurship Platform
The Women Entrepreneurship Platform is a first of its kind, unified access portal, which brings together women from different parts of India to build a nurturing ecosystem that enables them to realise their entrepreneurial aspirations. The Women Entrepreneurship Platform achieves this by facilitating relevant information and services through key partnerships. As an aggregator platform, WEP hosts information and services relevant to women entrepreneurs. WEP enables key partnerships to bring crucial content, workshops, campaigns and other avenues of learning and growth to its users from trailblazers in the industry.
