Overview

The Security Vertical functions as the Point of Contact in NITI Aayog for the Ministries of Defence, External Affairs and Home Affairs. It focuses on Defence Self-reliance in conjunction with the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM). The vertical also coordinates with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) for the Vibrant Villages Programme (VVP).

Core Functions

  1. Coordinating with the Ministries of Defence, External Affairs and Home Affairs.

  2. Coordination for the VVP.
